About The Working Women's Network

Welcome to your local business networking community.

Angela Raspass, Working Women's Network FounderI'm Angela Raspass, the Founder of the Working Women's Network, and I'd like to take a moment to share with you how our Business Network came about.

I'm a small business owner, wife and mother and I often feel rather stretched in juggling all of these roles! I work from a home office and whilst I love the flexibility and variety of my work, I do miss the opportunity to regularly connect with other business women. Those times when you can bounce around ideas, share challenges, have the support of your peers and find out what's going on in the larger marketplace are invaluable.

The idea developed to create a connection point for working women that could provide a link to resources, workshops, speakers and presenters that could add value to the business and personal lives of women on the North Shore and the Northern Beaches. And, just as importantly, provide a welcoming networking environment for business women in which to connect with, learn from and do business with each other.

The Working Women's Network is the result of that idea. Launched in October of 2007, we hold networking evenings and skill development workshops that have been attended by over 500 women. Our membership is diverse and growing everyday and I look forward to introducing you to the dynamic, successful, supportive and motivated women that are at the heart of our Network.

Last night was my first event and I thought it was fantastic. A colleague had talked about how good your network is and I was impressed by how professional and welcoming everyone was. I will definitely see you in 2009 and thanks so much! Congratulations on putting together a terrific service for entrepreneurs".

"The WWN Awards night was fantastic and a boost that I certainly needed. Hearing all the doom and gloom about the economy and the world gets to you after a while. Being a naturally positive person it was great to meet some like minded women. I have joined the WWN just last week and am really looking forward to the workshops next year".
